Business Description
Remodeling a home’s kitchen and baths are known to add the most value to a home and offer the highest return on the homeowner’s investment, no matter if they just bought a house or are preparing to sell, hiring the right people to do the best job is even more important.
A long-time professional in the cabinetry industry, the Seller settled in Orange County and opened a shop with his designer wife. Over the years, they have expanded the staff and expanded the scope of work from only kitchens to including whole house remodeling.
But they specialize in and are known for (via awards) stunning, efficient and durable kitchen and bath projects. Projects start with expert and creative design/planning services, including high-end custom cabinetry, and timely and professional installation services, with project management from start to finish.
In addition to an incredible foundation of clients, location, people, and vendors/suppliers the Company has name recognition in the community and beyond thanks to being the recipients of multiple Awards and Public Recognition in local publications.
Detailed Information
Facilities:
The Company operates a showroom in a well-trafficked residential shopping area and 10 miles away, an office space with a receiving area that is accessible for deliveries and trucks. There’s also a warehouse for the limited equipment and left-over supplies.
Competition:
Much of the competition is from yacht brokers or exotic car dealerships who are competing for potential clients’ investment dollars. Local custom cabinet makers can beat them on price alone but do not offer design services nor have the design talent that makes for last impressions. Local cabinet makers also face challenges when it comes to finishes that have become unexpected obstacles for homeowners.
Growth & Expansion:
Expanding the sales and marketing team, while being a hands-on owner will be the key to maintaining growth. Opening another showroom in another affluent city and increasing exposure could be helpful.
Financing:
TBD if structure and terms are acceptable.
Support & Training:
To ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success the Sellers will work with a buyer as needed for three months, and up to six months as on-call consultants, or as negotiated.
Reason for Selling:
Close to retirement, the Sellers are moving to be close to their grandchildren.
