The Company specializes in working with all types of contractors throughout the state of California, from sole proprietors to large companies. Detailed Information
Facilities:
Everyone currently works out of an office in Contra Costa County. However, the employee has indicated that she would be interested in transitioning to virtual if allowed. Sellers are assuming that the Buyer of this Business will not be taking over the office – but this can be discussed.
Competition:
There is enough business to go around, and individuals can build their businesses as big as they want if they work hard enough. This is a very sticky book of business that is accustomed to doing business over the phone – very little in person interaction has been involved. As long as you continue to take care of these clients, they should stay with you.
Growth & Expansion:
Primarily a renewal book. However, any agency that also offers group health or other personal lines products may be able to increase revenue through cross selling. There may also be an opportunity to move MGA policies into direct carrier codes if you have them, thus increasing commissions.
Financing:
Cash sale is preferred. However, Sellers will consider other structures on a case-by-case basis.
Support & Training:
To ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success the Sellers will work with a buyer as needed for three months, and up to one year as an on-call consultant to facilitate policy renewals with current clients.
Reason for Selling:
Primarily to have more time for family, and because of some health issues. Ultimately, Sellers would like to explore opportunities outside of the insurance industry.
