Business Description:
The Company is a widely recognized Fire Investigation firm in the State of Arizona, and the Seller is one of the leading fire experts in the country. The Certified Fire Investigator has overseen assignments involving more than 4,000 fires. The majority of business comes from personal injury attorneys, insurance companies, product manufacturers and various government agencies. The profitable business is always cash flow positive thanks to retainers received before work is done.
The company investigates fires at commercial and residential building of all sizes and for transportation related fires – from cars to recreational vehicles, and commercial trucks, to aviation and marine property
In many product-oriented cases, the Seller will consult with engineers and engineering companies that may conduct tests to determine if a product was faulty, or had inherent design faults, and what went wrong. The right Buyer may be an active or retired Firefighter, a currently investigator looking to expand, or a national engineering firm often brought in on cases.
Investigations start at the scene where evidence is photographed or collected and everyone involved has made a statement. Various testing takes place and engineering consultants are brought in as needed.
After determining the cause of any fire, the work may include testifying in court on a federal, state and municipal level. Experience has resulted in the Seller being referred to as an expert witness and is called in to testify on cases.
The right buyer must be licensed and if not, be able to meet strict licensing standards and get one.
NDA is required for comprehensive Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) crafted by ProNova Partners.
Detailed Information
Facilities: The Company has been home-based for the last decade. A small storage unit is rented to store testing and investigative equipment and files.
Competition: The Company’s reputation and history has created consistent business year over year. Despite there being other investigators, locally and nationally, the Seller has found the business to be recession proof.
Growth & Expansion: The Business does very little marketing. By launching advertising efforts in law and insurance-related trade magazines the business could potentially quickly attract new clients; as would mailers to local personal injury attorneys. With years of experience and a strong educational voice, social media could be a great avenue to increase awareness on multiple fronts.
Financing: TBD
Support & Training: The Seller will support, train and mentor the Buyer as needed until licensing can be completed, and longer if necessary, to make for a smooth transition and confident clients.
